School Council
School Council
The school council is a group of our children who act as representatives of their classmates in discussing school issues with the Head Teacher and staff.
The children are elected to represent the views of all pupils and also to improve our school. Each year goup elects three representatives to be members of the school council. The council will then meet to elect officers such as Chair, Secretary and Treasurer
Our school council does a number of things:
- The school council usually meets with staff members present to discuss and sort out ideas. These could include school lunches, playtimes or thoughts about possible fundraising events.
- Members of the school council are responsible for carrying out any ideas that have been agreed upon, such as planning discos, organising fund raising events, or meeting with staff.
- Our School Council will be supporting two charities this year. We will be supporting 'Runcorn & District Food Bank' as a local charity and 'Young Minds' as a national charity.
