Pupil Premium Information

The Pupil Premium Funding (PP) is money that is allocated to schools based on the number of children on roll that are known to have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any time in the last six years. Additional money is allocated to schools based on the number of children who have parents working in the armed forces or were registered as such on a school census within the last six years (SPP).

Schools have the freedom to spend the Premium, which is additional to the school budget, in a way that they feel will best support the raising of attainment.

Pupil premium is additional to the infant free school meals.  ALl children in KS1 and Reception receive a universal free school meal.  The may still be and additionally be entitled to apply and receive pupil premium funding also.

You will qualify if you are receiving one of the following benefits.

  • Income Support
  • Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Child Tax Credit but not Working Tax Credit and have an annual income that does not exceed £16,190
  • The Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for four weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1 April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)
